Today, we’re checking out the brand-new Moment Everything Slings 2L and 4L, the newest Everything Bag line additions. Drawing inspiration from Moment’s original MTW Fanny Sling and Fanny Sling Mini, these new slings have been rebuilt from the ground up to add more function and utility for everyday creatives while staying true to the fun-loving, casual aesthetic we know Moment bags to embody. We’ll compare the different features across the two sling sizes, review the pros and cons, and offer up use cases best suited for each sling size.
While some features differ across the two sizes, the Everything Sling Bags share some common features that I believe are essential in any everyday or travel sling bag:
- Custom Urban Mesh Fabric, composed of 420D high-density micro ripstop nylon, provides rugged durability while maintaining a lightweight, unassuming look and feel. A double-layer waterproof coating combined with reverse-coil YKK zippers weatherproofs the bags to keep your gear safe.
- The Soft-Touch Travel Strap provides a premium feel and ensures the bag sits comfortably on your body. The 4L features a QuickPivot system for increased ergonomics and easy positioning, while the 2L offers a quick-release side buckle for fast on-and-off.
- Both bags provide ample organization in the form of soft-lined pockets, padded walls, and thoughtfully sized compartments to accommodate a wide array of gear, from everyday essentials to camera gear.
The Everything Sling 2L
Ideal for everyday essentials, the Everything Sling 2L is geared towards the everyday user or traveler who likes to keep their wallets, keys, and other frequently-used accessories organized in a small form factor.
- The 2-liter capacity lends itself to more minimalistic setups yet still offers a wide variety of pockets for different types of items (i.e., dedicated sunglasses pocket to prevent scratches, slim back stash pocket for slim valuables like cash or passport).
- The main compartment gives you options to meticulously organize your gear or simply toss it in, carry-all style. It accommodates light gaming handhelds or even small mirrorless point-and-shoot cameras.
- Bottom straps work well with compression straps to slim down the sling when carrying light and are good for lashing a lightweight jacket or for carrying on small accessories like hand sanitizers.

Add for $70The Everything Sling 4L
The larger 4L Everything Sling is great for people commuting or traveling with more stuff who need to store larger items, like mirrorless camera setups.
- The 4-liter capacity allows for a large, loop-lined camera compartment complete with an adjustable hook divider to dial in your storage needs, especially with a mirrorless camera body and a 24-70mm lens.
- A wider bottom silhouette allows you to utilize the volume when filling it to max capacity, especially with bulkier items
- The bottom straps work particularly well at an angle with the compression straps to streamline the sling when carrying at partial capacity. This has the added bonus of allowing you to lash down larger jackets and even a collapsible tripod for extensive shoot days.

Add for $99The Pros and Cons
Each Everything Sling size is built with a different user in mind, and certain features are prioritized to maximize utility for those respective users.
Everything Sling 2L
- Pros: This smaller silhouette really has the everyday user in mind, providing a myriad of organization options in a small footprint that’s perfect for daily essentials such as wallets, keys, sunglasses, lip balm, and other small accessories you can’t get through the day without. Compression straps and a slim bottom base allow you to slim down and streamline the sling when it’s not filled to capacity, keeping your carry subtle and sleek. The strong buckle integrated into the soft touch strap lets you get in and out effortlessly. The addition of bottom straps also aids in slimming the sling down when carrying light and provides anchor points for lashing a light jacket or hooking on small accessories
- Cons: While great for staying under the radar, the 2L capacity limits both the quantity of items, as well as the maximum size of items you can store in the sling, ruling out larger handheld gaming consoles and camera setups. While not an outright con, the presence of both a padded slide pocket and a non-padded slide pocket back-to-back feels redundant. The non-padded outermost pocket can either be cut completely to further streamline the sling or become a secondary pocket integrated into the padded slide pocket for more organizational complexity. The bottom straps are short and have limited capacity when it comes to cylindrical objects (i.e. water bottles without loops)
- Price: I believe the $70 price is competitive for the features and build quality that comes packed into the 2L bag.
Everything Sling 4L
- Pros: Doubling the volume allows you to accommodate larger items and a higher quantity of gear, making this variant perfect for longer outings or for situations that call for more stuff. A repositionable divider in the main compartment lets you customize how you store your stuff from day to day, which is helpful when your loadout varies daily. The QuickPivot strap system provides a noticeable difference in how easily you can position and adjust how the bag sits on your body.
- Cons: While it’s obvious that the 4L variant is designed to accommodate larger accessories and gear, I felt there was an overall lack of smaller half-size or quarter-size pockets to properly organize small things like lip balm, SD cards, or multi-tools for camera plates. While the hook-and-loop divider functions to split the volume into smaller compartments, strategically placed smaller zipped mesh pockets would have been nice to see for those small essentials. I also immediately noticed that there was no buckle in the strap to take the bag on or off, and it felt like an interesting design decision to have it on the 2L, but not the 4L bag.
- Price: At $99, I would have liked to see smaller pockets alongside the larger compartments to provide a more well-rounded sling. Other staple sling features, like a quick-release buckle in the strap, would also have been helpful.
Final Thoughts
The Everything Sling 2L and 4L bags have really taken Moment slings to the next level. They have upgraded rugged and weatherproofed materials, padded and soft liners to protect your more sensitive accessories, and a slew of pockets that let you dial in the organization, ensuring that everything has a home. You know exactly where everything is when you need it.
The question of which bag is right for you definitely boils down to your specific needs and what you need the sling bag to do for you, and it’s clear that the 2L and 4L bags each serve different purposes and cater to different carrying styles.
No matter which sling you gravitate towards, these two additions to the Moment Everything Bag line flesh out the smaller carrying solutions when juxtaposed with the larger Everything Backpack and Tote offerings. I loved how the 2L bag was designed and look forward to throwing it into the rotation.
