I’ve been testing this thing on the road, and it’s seriously one of the most thoughtfully designed bags I’ve used. In this guide, I’ll walk you through every feature it offers, how much it fits, how to organize it, and what makes it great for creators on the go.

Top Front Pocket (Your Quick Stash Zone)

At the front of the top section is a surprisingly roomy stash pocket. It folds all the way down, making it super easy to access, and it’s padded on one side, which means you can toss in something fragile like a DJI Osmo Pocket without stressing. Inside, there’s enough room for small items, plus two sleeves (I use one for a power bank and another for a charging cable) and two pen slots. It’s a simple, functional admin area that keeps your daily essentials within reach.

The Main Compartment (Everyday Essentials)

Moving into the main compartment, you’ll find a large space for clothes and personal items. Even without expanding it, there’s a lot of room. I typically pack a jacket, a full cube of clothes, and Moment’s included rain cover — just in case I get caught in a downpour.

The main section also includes Moment’s smart little battery organizer pouch. It’s got red and green zipper pulls, so you can separate your full batteries from the empty ones at a glance. On one side of the compartment, there are two large stretchy pockets — I keep my AirPods in one and wired headphones in the other. At the top, you’ll find four elastic slots perfect for memory cards.

What’s great is that even after loading this space with essentials, there’s still room for accessories like the Moment Tech Organizer (I use mine for cables, hard drives, and adapters) or the optional 4L camera insert. If you're heading to a shoot and don’t need clothes, you can easily repurpose this section for more gear. And if you're traveling and need to pack a little extra, a hidden zipper lets you expand the bag to a full 38 liters.

Rear Tech Panel (The Hidden Bonus Pocket)

Tucked behind the expansion zipper is another smart panel for your tech gear. It’s a deep, zippered pocket with tons of space. I keep my laptop charger and cable in the two large internal pockets, and there are two more pen slots, bringing the total pen count in this bag to four (which, if you’re a notebook nerd like me, is kinda nice).

There’s also a small, hidden zipper at the bottom of this section. It’s not big, but it’s perfect for tucking away a super small, valuable item you want to keep out of reach.

Side Access and Laptop Storage

Let’s talk side features. On the left, you’ve got a compression strap up top to tighten down the load (or secure a tripod), a side grab handle for carrying, and a stretchy water bottle pocket that fits a 32-oz Nalgene with ease. There’s also a vertical zippered slot; perfect for slimmer items like gloves or maps.

On the right side, you get quick access to your main camera gear through a zippered side panel. Inside that flap are four additional memory card slots. This opening is big enough to fit a full-frame camera with a battery grip or a mirrorless body with a lens attached. There’s also a vertical zipper running behind this side panel that leads to the laptop compartment, which comfortably fits up to a 16-inch laptop.

Camera Compartment (The Heart of the Bag)

To reach the main camera compartment, you’ll unclip two buckles on the back panel and unzip the flap. On the backside of that flap is another hidden pocket— a great spot for your passport, especially since it’s tucked away and out of reach from anyone but you.

Inside, there’s one more zippered pocket (great for flat items like filters) and a customizable space with Velcro dividers. I’ve packed mine with a Sony A7R V with a 16–35mm lens attached, a Sony A7CR body, a 35mm f/1.4, a 50mm f/1.4, and an 85mm f/1.4 — plus two lens hoods. The dividers are easy to move around, so you can adjust them to whatever layout fits your setup.

All-Day Comfort

This is one of the comfiest camera bags I’ve worn, especially for longer hauls. It’s got load lifters up top to pull the weight closer to your body, wide ventilated shoulder straps to reduce fatigue, and a sternum strap that slides up and down on rails so you can adjust the height easily.

The waist belt is thick and supportive for those heavier loads, and it’s also removable if you prefer to go without it. On the back panel, you’ll find breathable air channels and a luggage pass-through so you can slip the bag over your suitcase handle when you’re traveling.

The bottom of the bag is flat and tough, made from that same 800D ballistic nylon, so it’ll stand upright and handle rough terrain without wearing out.

Fit Guide + Adjustments

For reference, I’m about 5’8” and 180 pounds, and this bag fits me really well. It offers four main adjustment points:

1. The shoulder straps (tighten them with a quick tug)
2. The sternum strap (easy to move up or down on the rail)
3. Load lifters (bring the bag’s weight closer to your back)
4. The waist belt (snap and cinch for extra support)

Cleaning & Maintenance

If your DayChaser gets dirty, grab a rag, some clean water, and a little mild soap. You don’t need anything fancy—just wipe it down, and it’ll be as good as new.
