Camera filters are little creative powerhouses for your lenses — similar to a preset for your image, but with real glass and no fake edits. There are many out there to choose from: diffusion filters to make your pictures look more dreamy, UV filters that cut unnecessary elements, CPL filters to heighten your dynamic range, and more.

Best part? These little guys aren’t just for your big camera or DSLR — they’re available for your phone, too. Why limit the potential to a smartphone’s automatic settings when you can dive deeper? You can have it all in the palm of your hand with an array of filter adapters and snap-on filters for the iPhone Pro 14.

Below is a curated list of the highest-quality filters to thread onto your iPhone, Samsung, or Pixel devices. Some require an adapter, while others easily snap onto the Moment Case’s camera window (only available to iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro users now). Buckle up!

Pro Tip: If you need additional readings on what each kind of filter is used for, be sure to check out our favorite filters to use, how to use them, why to use them, and when to use them.

2. CineBloom Diffusion 67mm Filter

Best For: Creators wanting a dreamy, hazy look to their image or video.

A diffusion filter is often used to create a glowy haze that spreads out the light across the etched filter surface while maintaining crisp contrast and sharpness. It’s the effect of bending a percentage of image-forming light from its original origin to defocus.

The filter’s tiny haze pattern will also help alter the bokeh to a more creamy state. I’m genuinely amazed at how well it captures a beautiful haze around the light to soften the details of my subject while still retaining the sharpness of the individual hairs and details of the eye.

Take your mobile videos to the next level. The 67mm CineBloom Filters work with our 67mm Filter Adapter so you can use them with your Moment lenses.

4. Moment Variable ND Filters

Beat For: Filmmakers that need manual control of their shutter speed during filming.

We’ve shot with a lot of Variable ND filters. They were either too expensive or the quality wasn’t there. None of them hit the sweet spot on affordability, functionality, and quality… so we made our own.

Available as a Variable ND Filters, it also features a unique flared geometry unlike anything else on the market, allowing you to see your ND number from behind the viewfinder. This provides fast, precise control over your shots in tricky lighting without moving from behind the camera. Made to shoot on the go, the filters also feature hard stops at both ends of the range to prevent unwanted cross-polarization for the cleanest image possible.

  • You can stack ND filters to get different stops. (i.e., a 3-stop on top of a 6-stop is equivalent to a 9-stop filter)
  • It's lightweight and made of top-of-the-line materials.
  • It allows you to control light for better photos and videos.

5. AntiGlare CPL Filter

Best For: Removes reflections and lowers highlights, perfect for car windows or water surfaces.

At its core, polarizing works by way of a microscopic film attached to the filter glass. This film filters out light coming into the lens based on the direction the light travels. This is why circular polarizers must rotate so that the light cut-out direction can be altered based on the shooting situation. The name ‘circular’ doesn’t refer to the shape of the filter but the type of polarizing film used. Circular polarizers cover a larger spectrum of reflected light, whereas a linear polarizer is less broad in the amount of light it can deflect.
